CAST Strategies was founded in 2020 by Josh Teele and Alan Quartz — two industry veterans who spent years working as both customers and consultants within the Trimble construction software ecosystem before striking out on their own.
Between them, Josh and Alan bring nearly 35 years of hands-on Vista experience to every engagement. They know what it's like to sit on both sides of the table — navigating complex ERP rollouts as end users, and guiding organizations through implementations as consultants. That dual perspective shapes everything CAST does.

Like Josh, Alan has been on both sides — as a customer navigating day-to-day ERP challenges and as an independent consultant helping organizations get more out of their investment. His longevity in the platform makes him one of the most experienced Vista consultants in the field.
Josh leads all development work at CAST, bringing over 15 years of experience with Vista and Trimble's broader product ecosystem. He started his career as a Vista customer, giving him firsthand insight into the real-world challenges contractors face — and exactly how to solve them through smart, custom-built solutions.
With more than 25 years in construction technology and business operations, Ryann bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Drawing on her experience as a Director of Accounting Technology, Vista customer, and independent consultant, she brings practical leadership to ERP optimization, process improvement, and system integrations — helping clients build scalable, sustainable solutions that drive lasting value.
Melanie comes to CAST with a background as a Vista customer — so she understands the software from the user's perspective before ever sitting in the consultant's chair. She is a certified Trimble consultant and a subject-matter expert in Vista's Service Management module, making her the go-to on the team for service-side implementations and support.
Collin brings nearly 5 years of experience across Vista and B2W Software, making him a versatile asset for clients who operate across both platforms. His deep technical knowledge spans custom development, integrations, and workflow automation — built on years of practical, production-grade work.
Jim specializes in data import processes for Vista, ensuring seamless integration of client data into the system. Jim also has served as a Controller to contractors in the past so knows just where and how to get data imported.
Kim serves as CAST's internal accounting lead, managing the full scope of the company's financial operations.
Kelly works on payables in the accounting department and also helps as a data entry specialist for customers when they short on resources.

A certified Sage 300 CRE and Viewpoint Vista consultant, John has guided construction companies through Sage migrations since 1998 and Vista implementations since 2012 — converting dozens of firms from legacy accounting systems and leading projects from conception to go-live, including GL and job cost setup and process improvement. He brings deep experience with Crystal Reports, Financial Manager, and Spreadsheet Server, and also serves as a CFO/Controller-for-hire, supporting clients through the close and internal financial reporting. John provides setup and workflow training across all core Vista accounting, Job Cost, and Project Management programs.
A Sage Certified Consultant since 1998, Karen specializes in helping construction companies migrate to and get the most out of their accounting software — handling data conversion, workflow training, and custom accounting reports, billing forms, and financial statements. She moved into Vista in 2012, customizing Crystal Reports for a large national heavy-highway contractor, and brings deep experience across the core Vista accounting programs.
